I read this article and almost all of it hit home with me.

Social media, the wider media, celebrities you are all enjoying wading in on cyclists to get cheap clicks, hits and laughs.

Look at their silly lycra, look at their pointy crash helmets… etc. etc.

But you are contributing towards hatred, aggression and hostility.

It needs to stop before people are killed.

People are stealing signs week after week from my clubs local midweek 10 mile time trial. It’s held on mainly country roads and has been on the same course for 40 years.

But someone in a car is now taking away warning and safety signs which could lead to cars being on the course and travelling at a higher speed than if they were aware a race was on.

This lunchtime, I chose to go for a jog instead of get my bike out and ride.
